Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Hotel du Vin Bristol is often praised for its luxurious and spacious rooms, some featuring comfortable, large beds and stylish designs. Guests appreciate the well-appointed bathrooms, often equipped with powerful walk-in rain showers and sometimes even a stand-alone bath, along with L'Occitane toiletries. The hotel's location is considered central, allowing easy access to shops, markets, the canal, restaurants, and the O2 Academy; however, some guests have found the lighting in the rooms to be a bit dark. A number of reviewers also enjoyed the breakfast, finding the menu offered a good choice of both cooked and continental items.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. That was acceptable.
the room was quite dark and not overly practical. the headboard offered no back support, so sitting up in bed was uncomfortable. the restaurant lacked atmosphere and the menu seemed both limited and expensive (i didn't eat there). i probably won't return.

The staff I encountered were attentive and polite. I found the restaurant staff very well-mannered. The service was generally good. I enjoyed the spacious room with a comfortable bed.
The carpet in my room was threadbare in several places. I noticed the walls had dirty marks. The room felt quite dark, even with the lights on. the room was a bit grubby.
